Briana Harris

Briana Harris is a musician, artist manager, and creative entrepreneur with a focus on empowering creatives to do their best work. A versatile creator and collaborator, Bri has credits as a saxophonist, singer, songwriter, producer, arranger, and composer. Her debut album as a solo artist, When We’re Found, was released in Fall 2022.
Briana is a performing member, manager, and co-owner of The Burroughs, a Colorado based original funk and soul band. Since 2014, she has performed with the band for over 200 dates, including support slots for artists including the Steve Miller Band, The Motet, and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Briana owns and operates Harris Artist Management, a full service management roster serving public visual artists. Briana is a voting member of the Recording Academy. She holds a Master of Music degree in Jazz Studies from The University of Northern Colorado, and an undergraduate degree in Jazz Studies from The University of Alabama.
For a long time I was intimidated by the technical elements of recording, but I’ve gained more confidence to learn those tools. I know that I bring a broad range of skills that are pretty valuable. I’m empowered by this experience and excited to work with more artists in the future!
Barbara
PROJECT TRACTION ARTIST

Denver-based Barbara is a band of best friends & established musicians: Bart Hartman, Anna Panella, and Camilla Vaitaitis. The trio met while studying music performance, jazz, and composition in college. After moving in together during the lockdown of 2020 and suffering from extreme boredom and burnout, the three began experimenting with new, different instruments— saxophone, trombone, and piano became bass, drums, and guitar. Freshly freed from the structures of academia and exploring a new creative sandbox together, Barbara was born.
In September of 2022, Barbara tracked and recorded their debut album “Escape Artist” in a remote mountain cabin over three serene days. After a year of performing, the sound of Barbara has evolved to encompass dreamy psychedelia, grunge indie, and “Music To Feel Things To”. Their most recent single, “Currents,” and its music video were released on October 6, 2023, and the second album is planned for mid-2024.
What makes Project Traction so cool is the care and time that Jim puts into working with the co-producer and the band. He has been an incredible support and resource who is always kind and willing to share his advice. All of us came away from the experience understanding so much more about production, studio work, and the music industry. Thank you Jim!!!!
